This year I’ll celebrate 50 years on this planet. It’s both miraculous and confusing. I like to think I’ve finally started figuring life out… only to realize I’m just beginning.

Life’s Loot Box wasn’t supposed to look like this. It actually began as an idea for a Disney website. We love Walt Disney World, and we wanted a website to help us organize our trips and ideas and thought that would be helpful to share. But we didn’t want to become Disney content creators, and figured if we were going to put something out into the world, it should probably help people more than just planning a trip. There are tons of great websites that already do that. So, we asked ourselves what it is that we really wanted to say and instead of building a website around one destination, we’re building it around a way of living.

Sometimes, the simplest moments hold the deepest wisdom. Let your thoughts settle, and clarity will find you.

For us, “loot” isn’t just something you find in a game. It’s anything that makes life richer: a hidden gem at a Disney resort, a mountain town that steals your heart, a book you can’t stop thinking about, a new hobby, a breathtaking view, a recipe worth making again, an unexpected friendship, or a quiet moment that somehow becomes a lasting memory.

We don’t know exactly where this journey will lead, and honestly, that’s part of the excitement. Today you might find Disney tips. Tomorrow it could be Colorado road trips, creative projects, butterflies, books, or something we haven’t even discovered yet. We’re simply following our curiosity, collecting the things that make life more meaningful, and inviting you to come along.
